My Yahoo's New Beta
I've been a My Yahoo! user for years. Right now, I'm trying the new My Yahoo! Beta . I have to tell you that it has improved dramatically. You can now add virtually any new RSS feed. That is, you can add non-yahoo content to your compilation page. Stuff like slashdot, bbc news, etc. The functionality has really improved.

The Last Starfighter - The Musical
File this under ridiculous yet fascinating: The old sci-fi teen movie from the 80's "The Last Starfighter" is now an off-broadway musical. While the movie at the time was hyped due to its use of 3D computer graphics, it was also a very lame movie. I enjoyed it. But I was 14 at the time.
What's even more mind-boggling about this (besides the fact that it sounds like a joke, yet we're a long way off from April 1st) is the list of cast and crew who have had roles in major movies.

Sony to support MP3
In a usual Sony fashion, Sony announced that they are now supporting the MP3 format for their MD. Hmmm, betamax, memory sticks, UMD. Who actually licenses the Sony technology? They always lose the battle when they have propriety formats don't they?

Say goodbye to Papa
232 pinball machines and several rare classic video games have been destroyed by a freak flood in Pittsburgh. PAPA (the Professional Amateur Pinball Association) was submerged under 5 feet of sludge filled with contaminants which will make salvage of the machines next to impossible.

New Handheld to Enter the Fray
VIA Technologies and MoMA (Ministry of Mobile Affairs) have partnered and developed yet another handheld aimed at gamers. The device runs with WinXP embedded (I assume this is the same thing as WinCE 2003?) . It looks nice but has an odd shape that does not fold over, making it cumbersome to carry.
Named the 'Eve', this device does not appear to have a touch-screen, so I'm confused if this thing will run Pocket PC applications or not, and if not, then I really see no future for this device. Regular Windows games should not work on this, since it uses EMBEDDED Windows, but you never know. Maybe it runs regular Windows games, thereby making this the ultimate portable for PC gamers. but what PC games do you play that don't require a mouse?
