Bridge demolition captured by digital cameras
The very last microseconds of a bridge demolition was captured by a photographer's three digital cameras (mounted on tripods about 200 feet from the site). The explosion was much stronger than anticipated and the guy's cameras were completely destroyed. ...except for the Flash memory. Check it out here.

USAtoday.com has an article on the first disposable digital camera with an LCD screen (for $19.99, too)! The first thing I thought was how long it'd be before it'd get hacked... but of course, then again you still can't pull the picture out of the memory and into the computer.
